SUMMARY:

My research and teaching revolve around the assessment and control of environmental exposures, especially those occurring in workplace environments. I have special expertise in measuring exposures to semi-volatile aerosols and airborne viruses, and in air filtration. I direct the University of Minnesota Industrial Hygiene Program and the Midwest Emerging Technologies Public Health and Safety Training (METPHAST) Program, and serve on the Work Group for Clean Air Minnesota.
